Comparing Different House Styles

 Within conducting my research, I also decided to reference current popular magazines and analyze their house styles. This also gave me different house style ideas for my own magazine. In this blog post I will be analyzing different housestyles from other magazines.

- In this cover page, the masthead is large and is covering model's forehead. With Allure they utilize the same font for the masthead in each of their magazines. The masthead of this magazine attracts is audience with the large font. The model image is brought to the front, as there is a yellow background. 

- This cover page is from Vanity Fair magazine. The masthead is clearly in large black font that is brought behind the model. With Vanity Fair magazine their cover title is always brought behind the model on the cover page. This magazine utilize a color scheme that would go along with the model since she is wearing black.

- The house style of Elle magazine can be seen in the picture above. The masthead of the magazine is always nearly covering a quarter of the magazine, with an enlarged font and letter separation. The model in this cover is brought to the front, while the title is brought behind. The coverlines are in the same font, and are in a white font to match the color scheme.
