Magazine Genres

     As part of my planning and research process for my magazine, is identifying which kind of genre my magazine will be. So far, I have been researching different types of magazine genres that interest me. The only difficulty is trying to find a topic to please me as well as my audience. In this blog post, I will outline the different magazine genres that I took an interest in during my research. 

- Food: With food magazines there are many things that are advertised, such as recipes and pictures of different kinds of foods. This type of magazine will target any chefs, home cookers, or anyone who feels like cooking.

- Travel: This genre of magazine provides useful and beneficial information for those who seek to explore a certain country, city, or state. The magazine may include reviews, or recommended places to go to.

- Entertainment: Entertainment magazines include different information on upcoming films, books, or tv shows. This type of magazine appeals those you are interested in finding out a more inside view on different types of entertainment.

- Fashion: Fashion magazines have major influences on their audiences. Many fashion magazines start trends on make statements to many different people, by showcasing different content such as outfits ideas, makeup looks, shoes, or jewelry. 

- Music: A music magazine is can include upcoming music releases, interviews, reviews, upcoming concerts, and photoshoots. Music as well has many different genres that can appease anyone.
