Using Camera Angles

This blog post will show different pictures taken by me, utilizing different camera angles that are presented in this course's syllabus.

High Angle:

- The effect of a high angle camera shot is to display the character at a high angle. In this picture the high angle is supposed to depict the subject's emotions, and the subject is meant to look weak. The person behind the camera is meant to seem dominant to the viewer.

Low Angle:

- A low angle is created when the camera is positioned low anywhere below eye level. The purpose of a low angle shot is to make the subject look powerful. The dog in this photo is presented as a powerful subject as his head is titled upwards.

Canted Angle:

- A canted angle is created as the camera is positioned at a titled angle. Canted angle shots depict that there is something disoriented in the shot. The position of the subject is straight but the camera angle is titled.
